Temple Filler
From £400
A lack of volume in the temple leads to the impression of a bony orbit. Sometimes we are naturally deficient in volume in this area. For most, there is a loss of volume in the temples with the passing of time.
The hollow may be interpreted as a hallmark of aging but also it breaks the flow from the upper to the mid facial third by the creation of a valley/hollow and a shadow. There should be a natural flow across the soft tissues of the face; each facial third flowing.
On women, it is desirable to maintain a subtle concavity as this is more feminine but ensuring that any significant hollow is softened. The addition of filler in this region also improves surface tension, maintaining the tail of the brow at a neutral or elevated position, as opposed to a downturn.
The procedure is subtle but highly effective in rejuvenating the overall impression of the face. The area is numbed, and filler is gently injected into the temple region. The sensation may be a little strange but ultimate painless. Some experience mild to moderate tooth sensitivity for a day or two post procedure.

Frequently asked questions
-
You may experience swelling, redness, tenderness, and bruising at the injection site. Uneven swelling is normal and should balance out as it subsides. These effects typically resolve within a few days to two weeks.
-
Bruising can occur despite precautions to avoid it. If bruising happens, it will typically be apparent immediately after treatment. Bruises may change colour as they heal, from red to purple, black, green, and eventually yellow. Using Arnica and Vitamin K cream can help speed up the healing process.
-
We aim for subtle, natural results, which take 2-4 weeks to fully settle. A review can be scheduled afterward, where additional filler can be added for a fee, or, if needed, filler can be adjusted or dissolved with hyaluronidase.
-
Most patients experience minimal discomfort during the procedure. Numbing cream and local anaesthetic are used for added comfort.
-
It’s best to avoid applying makeup for 12-24 hours after your filler procedure to reduce the risk of infection or irritation at the injection site.
