A Botox brow lift can treat mild to moderate heaviness in the upper lids creating a fresher and “more awake” look. With the downward pulling muscles of the outer brow released, the skin of the upper lid may be lifted and smoothed, creating a brighter more youthful appearance.

The Process

1. Assessment

The brow is assessed to ensure that an effective result may be achieved. Any asymmetries are accounted for as well as ensuring the area as a whole is kept in synchrony. i.e. airbrushing one element won’t highlight another area left untreated. The patient’s desired outcome is discussed and a conservative treatment carried out.

Once the target muscles, dilution and units of Botox have been established by the practitioner, the skin is cleansed and sterilised. Using tiny needles, Botox is carefully injected into the target muscles. You may be left with little pin-pricks / red marks but these pass within a matter of minutes.

2. Injection

  • Full effects are visible at:

    • 14 days for upper and lower face Botox.

    • 6 weeks for facial slimming.

  • Botox may initially reduce muscle activity, causing a “frozen” feeling. This usually softens over time, giving a more natural effect.

  • Avoid facials, massages, or facial treatments for 2 weeks after Botox to prevent the risk of the product moving to non-target muscles.

  • Botox can cause some muscles to relax at different rates, especially in the forehead. This can lead to certain areas being more active than others initially, but this will settle down.
