Tixel is a simple and highly effective skin resurfacing procedure. It is powered by a non-laser (non-radiation), non-radiowave, energy, called Therma-Mechanical action. Simply put, this is electricity turned into heat. Using a handpiece containing a small plate of titanium pyramids, it is heated to 400°C. The pyramid tips are triggered for brief contact with the skin, singeing the epidermis (superficial layer of the skin) and triggering growth factors within the living dermis tissue underneath.

This process removes the top layer of skin, creating skin renewal through the combination of heat and micro channelling. Tixel may be used on any part of the tissue, including the delicate tissue of the upper and lower eyelids.

It is indicated for sun damage and skin ageing, helping fine lines and crepey skin, scarring, skin tightening and the overall improvement of skin texture. The areas treated are numbed with a topical anaesthetic cream to ensure comfort levels are maintained.

1-3 treatments are usually required on any indicated area, approximately 4-6 weeks apart.
